Lakhs of farmers nationwide are awaiting the 20th installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, which has been delayed this time. It is expected that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the next Rs 2,000 installment in July 2025. Under this scheme, installments are disbursed every four months.
The 19th installment was transferred in February 2025. Usually, the June installment comes before the end of the month, but this time the funds are getting delayed.
About The Scheme:
Launched in 2019, the scheme provides assistance of Rs 2,000, three times a year, to eligible farmers, totalling Rs 6,000 per annum. The payment is transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account.
What Should Farmers Do Before The Installment Comes?
The installment is expected to come soon, but farmers should ensure that:
- e-KYC is complete
- Aadhaar and bank account are linked
- Bank details are correct
- Land records are updated
- Mobile number is active and correct
- Name is included in the beneficiary list
- If the information related to the address or area is wrong, then the farmer may be declared “ineligible”. Especially errors like “Beneficiary Does Not Belong to Our State/District” come from mistakes in the land address.
How To Update The Address?
- Visit the website: https://pmkisan.gov.in
- Go to ‘Farmers Corner’
- Click on ‘State Transfer Request’
- Fill in registration or Aadhaar number, captcha and OTP
- Upload land documents in your name
- Review and submit the change
- Or visit your nearest Common Service Center (CSC) for assistance.
But if “Payment Under Process” is showing, the effect of the address change will be visible in the next installment only.
When Will The 20th Installment Of PM Kisan Come?
The installments of the scheme are usually released in February, June and October. However, this time no official date has been announced yet. According to reports, an amount of ₹ 2,000 can be released during a program in July.
How To Do E-KYC?
E-KYC is mandatory and payment will not be processed without it. It can be done in three ways:

Who Is Eligible?
- Should be a citizen of India
- Owner of cultivable land
- Small or marginal farmer
- Does not receive pension of Rs 10,000 or more
- Does not pay income tax
- Does not have any institutional land
