‘PM is Poisonous snake, you will die if…’: Mallikarjun Kharge; BJP retaliates
Karnataka Election 2023: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's statement over Prime Minister Modi received bitter retaliation from the Bhartiya Janata party.
Kharge, While addressing a rally in Karnataka's Gadag said, "Modi is like a poisonous snake, if you licked to test it, you will be dead".
"PM Modi is like a poisonous snake. You will wonder whether there is poison or not. But if you taste it, you will die again," said Mallikarjun Kharge while Addressing an election rally in Karnataka's Kalaburagi district.
Responding to Kharge's remark, Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai said that this type of statement came out in desperation.
"There is a poison in the mind of Kharge. It's a prejudiced mind towards PM Modi and BJP. This kind of thinking comes because of desperation as they are unable to fight him politically and they are seeing that their ship is sinking... People will teach them a lesson," said Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai.
Karnataka will go on Poll on May 10.
later, Congress chief gave clarification on his statement on PM Modi. He said it was not for PM Modi, I meant that BJP's ideology is 'like a snake'. I never said this personally for PM Modi, what I said was that his ideology is like a snake and if you try to touch it, your death is certain.
