Manipur Violence: Launching a fresh attack at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Manipur incident, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday stated that the women of the country will throw BJP out in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The statement came at Shahid Dibas rally where West Bengal CM took a jibe at PM Modi saying that while he is pointing fingers at our state, Manipur is burning.
Addressing the rally, Banerjee questioned PM Modi that why did the Manipur incident doesn’t hurt him?

She asked that he is pointed the fingers at Bengal whole Manipur is burning, doesn’t he have any love for the sisters and mother of the country?
“Till when daughters will be burnt, Dalits, minorities will be killed, people will be killed? We will not leave Manipur, North Eastern sisters are our sisters,” she further asked.
Slamming the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) over the slogan ‘Beti Bachao’, West Bengal said that the accused were released in Bilkis Bano’s case. “Apart from that the party MP and Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Singh also got regular bail in the sexual harassment case,” she underlined.
“BJP gave ‘Beti Bachao’ slogan, where is your slogan now. We express our solidarity with the people of Manipur. Today Manipur is burning, the whole country is burning. The women of the country will throw you out of the country’s politics in the coming elections,” the West Bengal CM said.
To dethrone the BJP from the country, West Bengal CM said that they have founded the alliance in the name of I.N.D.I.A.
With an aim to chalk of the strategy to dethrone the BJP from Centre in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Congress party has successfully garnered support from 26 other political parties. The two day second meeting of the opposition parties took place in Bengaluru while the first unity meeting took place in Patna last month.
