New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister on Monday slammed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that he does not want to listen to the people of the national capital, following the Delhi ordinance bill passed in Rajya Sabha.

Addressing the media, Delhi CM said that despite the Supreme Court’s orders, PM Modi appears to disregard them, leading to concerns among the public. The citizens have expressed their stance against the Centre’s interference in Delhi, yet the PM seems reluctant to heed their voices.

“The unwavering support and electoral victories in Delhi demonstrate that the public endorses the actions I undertake. The opposition, particularly the BJP, is attempting to impede the progress and development initiatives. Despite their efforts to obstruct my work, the overwhelming support from the people ensures that their attempts will be unsuccessful, and the public will not allow them to win any seat in the upcoming elections,” Kejriwal stated.

Lashing out at the Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Delhi CM said that during the parliamentary session, Amit Shah Ji asserted that the government possesses the authority to enact laws.

“However, it is essential to remember that elected representatives are bestowed with the responsibility to serve the people’s interests rather than curtail their rights. The power vested in the government should be wielded to work for the welfare and betterment of the citizens, upholding their rights and ensuring their well-being,” Kejriwal added.

Reacting to the development, AAP Minister Gopal Rai said that today, the alleged falsehoods of the BJP have been exposed in front of the nation.

“The actions taken by the party, including disregarding the Supreme Court to pass a bill, have drawn the ire of the public. The people of the country seem adamant in their stance, vowing not to forgive the BJP for these actions. They intend to voice their dissatisfaction and disillusionment through their ballots in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections, aiming to defeat the BJP at the polls,” Rai claimed.

A Shift Towards BJP's Aggressive Hindutva Amid Opposition's Leadership Crisis

The Maharashtra election may further push the Congress down as it has lost the election at a time when it needed a win most desperately. Though the Congress succeeded in pushing the BJP to a corner and stopping it at less than a majority on its own, it failed to make any headway further.
