Passengers travelling through Noida International Airport will now have to pay additional charges as the Airport Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) has approved the User Development Fee (UDF) and landing fee for the airport. These new charges will not only affect passengers but also airlines, which is likely to increase fares and operating costs.
Passengers flying internationally from Noida will have to pay a UDF of Rs 980, while a fee of Rs 420 will be charged on arrival. For domestic passengers, UDF has been fixed at ₹490 on departure and Rs 210 on arrival. These rates are much lower than the previously proposed charges, Rs 1,380 for international flights and Rs 690 for domestic.
Accordingly, passengers will have to pay a total of Rs 1,400 UDF on a return flight from Noida to Dubai, while a round trip to Mumbai will cost Rs 700 UDF.
At the same time, airlines will also have to pay landing charges at Noida Airport based on the weight of the aircraft. This fee has been fixed at Rs 725 per 1,000 kg for domestic flights and Rs 1,088 per 1,000 kg for international flights.
For example, narrowbody aircraft like Airbus A320 or Boeing 737 weighing around 80,000 kg will have to pay Rs 58,000 landing fee on domestic flights and Rs 87,040 on international flights.
For widebody aircraft like Boeing 777 or Airbus A350, this fee will be even higher according to their weight.
