New Delhi: Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi Friday said that party’s former cheif Rahul Gandhi is paying for speaking the truth while pointing out that Gandhi had been raising the Adani issue in the Parliament.

“We all know that Rahul Gandhi has been speaking out fearlessly both inside and outside the Parliament. Clearly, he is paying a price for it,” said Singhvi during a media interaction.

The Conrgess leader added that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led central government is rattled. He added that this government was finding new techniques to throttle Rahul Gandhi’s voice.

Talking about the next step, Singhvi informed that they will seek a stay of the conviction, which will remove the very basis of this disqualification.

Singhvi asserted that this a legal and politcal battle and they would fight it in the same manner. “We have full faith in the law. We believe we will emerge victorious in the near future,” he added.

Gandhi’s disqualifictaion has threw open an argument if he will be able to emerge as a Prime Ministerial face for in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections for Prime Ministerial post. On being asked the same, Singhvi said 2024 is relatively too far and they are hpoing to get a stay on conviction in a few weeks.
