Prime Minister Narendra Modi is embarking on a two-day visit to Bihar. Patna, Bihar’s capital, is preparing for the Prime Minister’s inaugural roadshow. In a historic first, the country’s Prime Minister will soon be seen conducting a roadshow through the streets of Patna. No previous Prime Minister has undertaken such an event. The roadshow, spanning about 1.9 km, will showcase the decorated route akin to a wedding scene, with strict security arrangements in place.

At 5 pm today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will commence his roadshow, starting from Bhattacharya Road and passing through Uma Cinema Hall, Kadamkua Sahitya Sammelan, Thakur Bari Road, and concluding at Udyog Bhawan in the eastern part of Gandhi Maidan. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will join PM Modi in this approximately two-hour-long roadshow. “Patna is expecting PM Modi’s arrival at 3 pm today.”After a brief rest at Raj Bhavan, he will proceed to the roadshow. Following the roadshow, the Prime Minister will spend the night at Raj Bhavan and the next morning, on May 13th, he will visit Guru Gobind Singh Gurudwara in Patna City. During this visit, PM Modi will also hold election rallies in three Bihar Lok Sabha constituencies: Hajipur, Vaishali, and Saran.

What will be the impact of PM’s roadshow in Patna? 

PM Modi’s roadshow has prompted significant alterations in Patna’s traffic routes. Passengers traveling to the airport between 3-5 pm should arrive three hours early. Additionally, Indian Railways has extended the stoppage time of a dozen trains, including the Patna-Delhi Rajdhani Express, Sampoorna Kranti Express, and Patna Banaras Janshatabdi Express, by ten minutes. The Railways has also issued a helpline number (7209349777 or 720934277) for passengers to report any issues during their train journey.
