Patna: Two minors Burned To Death After Their Car Catches Fire

Two minors burned to death after a parked car caught fire in Patna's Sohgi Rampur village on Monday late night.

In a Tragic Incident, A 6-year-old girl and 7-year-old boy burned to death after a parked car caught fire and the doors locked. Reason behind the fire remained unclear.

Two minors burned to death after a parked car caught fire in Patna’s Sohgi Rampur village on Monday late night. Police said the deceased were identified as Rajpal, 7, and Srishti, 6, a resident of Sohgi Rampur village under the jurisdiction of Gaurichiwk police station in Patna.

On Monday night, two kids boarded the parked car to play. While playing, the car caught fire and the doors automatically locked. When locals spotted the horrific incident, they informed the family members of the children and rushed to rescue them but found that the doors were locked and fire was spreading swiftly.

Police said locals somehow managed to douse the flames but by the time they duo kids had burned to death. However, they were rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared them dead.

During the investigation, it came to light that Rajpal’s father Sanjeet bought the second-hand car a few months back and just before the incident he parked the car after visiting the market.

The fire control room was also alerted, but by the time fire tenders arrived, the locals managed to douse the flames. The reason behind the fire was yet to be ascertained. Investigations are underway to find the exact cause behind the fire at a parked car.
