Good news for passengers traveling between Patna and New Delhi as Indian Railways is preparing to launch the first-ever sleeper Vande Bharat Express. This new service aims to cut the travel time between the two cities to just 8 hours.
The train will operate at a top speed of 160 km/h, and it is expected to begin operations in December.

The Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will run six days a week.
- Departure from Patna: Evening
- Arrival in New Delhi: The next morning
- Return Service: Same overnight schedule from New Delhi to Patna.
- Regular services are expected to begin before the New Year.
How Many Coaches Will the Vande Bharat Sleeper Have?
The Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will consist of 16 coaches, with a total seating capacity of 827 passengers. The distribution will be as follows:
11 AC 3-tier coaches (611 berths)
4 AC 2-tier coaches (188 berths)
1 AC 1st Class coach (24 berths)
