Patna-Sasaram Expressway: 120 km Greenfield Route Approved To Boost Bihar’s Economy, Slash Travel Time

This will solve the traffic-related problem in Patna, Arwal, Bhojpur, Rohtas and Sasaram.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the green signal to build a 120 km long 4-lane Greenfield Expressway extending from Patna to Sasaram in Bihar. The route will be constructed for Rs 3,712.40 crore. This will solve the traffic-related problem in Patna, Arwal, Bhojpur, Rohtas and Sasaram. This will boost the economy of the state.

About Project

The expressway starts from NH-131G near Sadisopur in Patna extending to a new four-lane bridge over the Son River before passing through Asni in Ara then continuing to Gadhani Piro Bikramganj Mokar Suara in Sasaram and eventually joins NH-19. The new journey via this path reduces travel from Patna to Sasaram from the current 3-4 hours to 2 hours.

This makes the journey smoother and convenient for the commuters. Once this route gets operational then the travel time will also get reduced. The finished expressway will drive economic growth for the area through agricultural increases and enhanced trade together with real estate expansion. The initiative will establish employment possibilities within the community and enhance property market values.
