In a singificant development, the government has now agreed to allow certain matters such as present situation in Bangladesh and Sambhal violence to be raised during Zero Hour.

EAM Dr S Jaishankar Speaks On India-China Ties

On India-China Ties, EAM Dr S Jaishankar in the Lok Sabha said, "Raksha Mantri has also met the Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun at the ASEAN Defence Ministers (ADMM+) meeting in Vientiane on November 20, 2024. The two Ministers discussed progress on the recent agreement on disengagement, the need to address de-escalation and the requirement of strengthening confidence-building measures. They agreed on the importance of continuing meetings and consultations at various levels. The House will remember that the October 21, 2024 agreement is the latest in the series of understandings in regard to the resolution of the situation at various friction points in Eastern Ladakh..."

'MNREGA Funds Go To Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana..', Says Nishikant Dubey

During a discussion of wage disbursement under MGNREGA, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey said, "MNREGA funds go to Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana on the basis of labour component and I think that perhaps the GoI has permitted it. Do MNREGA funds go to the state government's scheme Abua Awas Yojana, is it permitted in the labour component? If it is not permitted, then what action have you taken? I want to ask this from the Minister (Shivraj Singh Chouhan)."

Meanwhile, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, "MNREGA money is for paying wages to labourers. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana also, wages can be given to the member of the family whose house is being built. If this money goes to the Abua Awas Yojana, we will investigate it and if it has been misused, we will take action against it."
