Parliament Winter Session 2024 LIVE Updates: The Parliament session resumed on Wednesday morning following the adjournment of both the Houses on Monday. The Winter Session is scheduled to continue until December.
Notably, the Winter Session of Parliament commenced on Monday but faced early disruptions.
In the Rajya Sabha, proceedings were stalled as Opposition MPs demanded a discussion on allegations of bribery involving the Adani group.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader V Muraleedharan on Monday criticised the opposition parties over the Waqf Amendment Bill, accusing the Congress and the Communist parties of playing a “double game” on the issue.

The opposition continued to create ruckus amid Lok Sabha proceedings. The proceedings resumed at 12 pm after adjournment.
Lok Sabha session has resumed and papers are being laid on the table. Meanwhile, Opposition MPs can be heard shouting slogans while proceedings are ongoing.
Union I&B Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, “There is a lot of difference between the culture of our country and the countries from where these social media platforms have come. So I would like the Standing Committee of the Parliament to take up this issue and strict laws are made regarding the same.”

Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav has questioned BJP on Sambhal incident and said, "The way the Sambhal incident happened immediately after the election results were announced, I think it raises a big question on the policy and intentions of the government and the BJP."
