A day after the security breach at Parliament, Lok Sabha Secretariat on Thursday suspended a total of eight security personnel.
The recent Parliament security breach took an unexpected turn as initial police sources revealed a different figure as the primary provocateur behind the incident. Their investigation highlighted a surveillance conducted around the Parliament premises by the accused before the breach occurred.

The accused, linked to a social media group called ‘Bhagat Singh Fan Club,’ had convened around 18 months ago in Mysore. Sagar, one of the members, tried to gain entry in July, but his attempt was unsuccessful. On December 10, the group congregated near India Gate, receiving colored crackers before their actions unfolded.
The Delhi Police Special Cell filed a case under the UAPA section, while the Ministry of Home Affairs initiated an inquiry. They formed an Enquiry Committee, led by Anish Dayal Singh, DG, CRPF, including members from various security agencies and experts, following the Lok Sabha Secretariat’s request.

The breach occurred on the 22nd anniversary of the Parliament terror attack during Zero Hour. Intruders breached the Lok Sabha chamber from the visitor gallery, wielding canisters and releasing yellow gas while chanting slogans.
However, the situation took an unexpected turn as MPs actively engaged in apprehending one of the intruders, escalating into a tumultuous scene. In an unusual display, a few leaders bravely confronted and restrained the intruder, resorting to physical means to immobilize them, while others fled the scene. Hanuman Beniwal, president of the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party, was among the first to exhibit courage and played a pivotal role in subduing the intruder. His actions have drawn admiration from netizens, applauding his bravery and steadfastness. Speaking later, Beniwal confidently stated, “We are not the ones to fear.”
