Parliament Monsoon Session: Lok Sabha on Friday adjourned till 11 am Monday (July 24) amid the Opposition MPs protest over the demand of discussion on the Manipur situation.

As soon as the House assembled for the day, Opposition MPs demanded discussion on the ongoing Manipur situation. They also raised slogans. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla initiated the Question Hour and requested members to take their seats.
Om Birla said, “Will a solution to problems be found through sloganeering. The solution can be found through talks and discussion. This way is not correct.”
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that the talk should be taken place on the Manipur and Opposition was showing keen interest to discuss the Manipur issue.
Later, Om Birla adjourned the House till 11 am Monday sighting uproar in the House.

Opposition MPs were stagnant on their demand for a statement from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Parliament on the situation in Manipur followed by a full-day discussion.
The MPs have given adjournment motion notices for discussion on Manipur. The Parliament monsoon session of Parliament began on Thursday.
