Parliament Monsoon Session 2025 LIVE Updates: On the tenth day of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, Congress MP Manickam Tagore filed an adjournment motion in the Lok Sabha to discuss the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar related to the Assembly election. Manickam Tagore submitted the adjournment motion and asked for an emergency discussion on SIR, describing it as “mass disenfranchisement in Bihar of 65 lakh voters – an intentional assault on the Constitution and democracy by the Modi government, utilising the Election Commission.”

Meanwhile, the MPs of the opposition INDIA bloc held a protest in front of Makkar Dwar in Parliament on Friday asking, as a united front for discussion in both Houses on SIR in Bihar.

At a meeting on Thursday, the parties of the INDIA bloc resolutely decided to elevate their protest against the ongoing SIR in Bihar in Parliament and outside of it. The INDIA bloc protest comes on the heels of the Election Commission publishing the draft electoral rolls for Bihar on Friday.
