Parliament Monsoon Session 2025 LIVE: External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar and Leader of the House JP Nadda are set to address the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday as the parliamentary debate on Operation Sindoor continues. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to deliver the concluding speech.
EAM Jaishankar is scheduled to speak at 12 pm, commencing the debate on Operation Sindoor in the Rajya Sabha, followed by JP Nadda’s address around 3 pm. The debate on Operation Sindoor began in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, while the Lok Sabha took up the discussion on Monday. The operation was launched in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
Earlier, Jaishankar and Shah addressed the Lok Sabha during a discussion on Operation Sindoor, outlining India’s diplomatic efforts and taking sharp aim at the Opposition.

On Wednesday, EAM Jaishankar confirmed that India eliminated terror infrastructure in Bahawalpur and Muridke, stating, “We did the world a global service by doing so.”

EAM Dr S Jaishankar says in Rajya Sabha, "When Operation Sindoor commenced, a number of countries were in touch with us to see how serious the situation was and how long it would go...We gave the same message to all the countries... that we were not open to any mediation. Anything between us and Pakistan will only be bilateral... And that we were responding to the Pakistani attack, and we would keep responding. If that fighting was to stop, Pakistan must make a request. And that request could only come through the channel of the DGMO..."

'We Were Not Open To Any Mediation,' Says EAM Dr. S Jaishankar
On Wednesday, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar emphasized that through Operation Sindoor, India had delivered a strong and unequivocal message: it rejects external mediation and will not succumb to nuclear blackmail.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to move a resolution seeking a six-month extension of President’s Rule in Manipur, a state grappling with ongoing ethnic violence. President’s Rule was first imposed on February 13, shortly after Chief Minister N Biren Singh resigned from his post. If approved by Parliament, the extension will keep President’s Rule in effect until February 13, 2026.
