Pakistani Spy And Ex-Minister’s Aide Shakoor Khan Sent To 7-Day Police Remand – How A Stolen iPhone Led To His Arrest?

Shakoor Khan, who was earlier detained on suspicion of spying for Pakistan, has finally been arrested by the Rajasthan Police and has been sent on a seven-day remand. He has remained the personal secretary of former cabinet minister Sale Mohammad. Meanwhile, an FIR has also been registered against him.

It was alleged that on May 25, 2025, a person’s iPhone 13 Pro was stolen from Jaipur’s Shantinagar police station area. A shocking revelation stunned all during the tracking of the mobile. It came to light that the device was being used in Pakistan, and calls were also reportedly being made to Pakistani mobile numbers. Moreover, suspicious conversations were also being held via the WhatsApp video calling feature.

Investigation revealed that certain videos and pictures of religious places were being sent to Pakistan from this phone. These activities have alerted the security agencies. Meanwhile, the stolen iPhone 13 was recovered from Shakoor Khan. The suspicious numbers from Pakistan to which calls were made through the phone are:

Security agencies found that locations of religious places, including audio-video material, were shared on these numbers. Police and intelligence agencies believe that this case is more than just a mobile theft. It may be linked to an international cyber-espionage network. On the other hand, FIR number 04/2025 has been registered against Shakoor Khan at Shanti Nagar police station, under sections 282, 294 of the BNS and section 238B of the Indian Telegraph Act 1923.
