It was a peaceful afternoon on the 22nd of April 2025, when a group of tourists from different parts of India gathered at one of the most beautiful places on Earth—Kashmir’s Pahalgam, often called ‘Jannat’. People, including couples, children, and groups of friends, were enjoying the cool weather of this ‘Mini Switzerland’. They were laughing, playing, and soaking in the joy of being in paradise—until it suddenly turned into a nightmare.
Families were enjoying the cool breeze, kids were laughing and running around, and everything felt calm and happy. But at exactly 2:50 PM, everything changed. Suddenly, people heard gunshots. The happy sounds quickly turned into cries and screams. The peaceful place became full of fear and confusion. Reports say 28 tourists were chosen and killed just because of who they were. It was a terrible act filled with hate and unfairness. Before killing them, the terrorists asked about their identities, stripped them to determine their religion, and shot dead all those who did not belong to a particular faith.
