Members of the Indian diaspora countered the Pakistani protest outside the Indian High Commission in London on April 27. A member of the Indian diaspora asserted, “We are holding a peaceful protest here. The people in front of us (Pakistani protestors) are abusing us, but we are sitting here peacefully.”

Another member of the Indian diaspora said, “We are really saddened by what has happened, and that is why we have come here to support our Indian community that lives abroad. Our hearts are always with our motherland. Such incidents are happening again and again, and that is what saddens us. We are holding a peaceful protest here…”

“I am an Indian citizen and a Hindu from J&K. The Pahalgam terror attack was orchestrated and executed by Pakistani terrorists… This is not the first incident in J&K. Many terror attacks in J&K have been carried out by Pakistan, where Hindus were selectively targeted,” another member said.

On April 22, terrorists attacked tourists at Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam, killing 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen while leaving several others injured. It was noted that this attack came in the wake of the successful holding of elections in the Union Territory and its steady progress towards economic growth and development.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also assured the country that the terrorists responsible for this attack, along with those who conspired it, will face punishment beyond their imagination, The Prime Minister asserted that the time has come to eliminate the remaining strongholds of terrorism and that the willpower of 140 crore Indians will now break the backbone of the perpetrators of terror.
