Asaduddin Owaisi, the AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP, proclaimed 'Jai Palestine' during his oath-taking ceremony as a member of the 18th Lok Sabha on Tuesday.
After being sworn in for his fifth term as a Lok Sabha member, Owaisi expressed his commitment to earnestly advocate for India's marginalized communities in a post on X.

As Asaduddin approached to take his oath, BJP MPs began chanting 'Jai Shri Ram'. Undeterred by the chants, Owaisi proceeded to affirm his oath in Urdu and concluded with the words 'Jai Bhim, Jai Meem, Jai Telangana, Jai Palestine'
In 2019, he concluded his oath with the phrases 'Jai Bhim, Allah-o-Akbar, and Jai Hind'.
Owaisi emerged victorious over BJP candidate Madhavi Latha in the 2024 Lok Sabha election from the Hyderabad constituency.
