Mumbai: The third meeting of the newly built Opposition alliance ‘I.N.D.I.A’ will be held in Mumbai on August 31 and September 01, Informed Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut.
After attending a meeting on Saturday with Nationalist Congress Party’s (NCP) Sharad Pawar and Supriya Sule, Congress State president Nana Patole and senior Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan, Sanjay Raut said that the meeting will be hosted by Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray and will take place in Mumbai’s Grand Height hotel.

Earlier, in order to create a united front against Bharatiya Janata Party-led alliance before the 2024 General Elections, the major opposition parties had met twice in Patna and Bengaluru.
At the Bengaluru meeting, the name of the newly formed 26-party alliance – I.N.D.I.A – was announced by the Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge.
“A committee comprising 11 members will be set up for coordination among the opposition parties. Additionally, a convenor will be selected during the next meeting in Mumbai. The purpose of this committee is to facilitate cooperation and coordination among the different parties within the opposition alliance,” he added.
The 26 opposition parties including Congress, TMC, DMK, AAP, JD(U), RJD, JMM, NCP (Sharad Pawar), Shiv Sena (UBT), SP, NC, PDP, CPI(M), CPI, RLD, MDMK, Kongunadu Makkal Desia Katchi (KMDK), VCK, RSP, CPI-ML (Liberation), Forward Bloc, IUML, Kerala Congress (Joseph), Kerala Congress (Mani), Apna Dal (Kamerawadi), and the Manithaneya Makkal Katchi (MMK), are part of the I.N.D.I.A alliance.
