New Delhi: Several opposition parties led by the Indian National Congress took out a ‘Tiranga yatra’ from Parliament to Vijay Chowk on Thursday, alleging that ‘democracy is under attack’ under BJP regime.
Members of like-minded parties which included Congress, Samajwadi Party, RJD, Shiv Sena (UBT), AAP, NCP, and left started a march, holding the national flag from Parliament House and walked up to Vijay Chowk.
Former Congress president Sonai Gandhi too held the national flag at gate number 1 of parliament where all other MPs gathered before starting the march. The ‘Yatra’ was led by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.

The opposition MPs also boycotted the tea ceremony hosted by the Speaker after the lower house was adjourned sine die at the conclusion of the Budget session.
All the opposition parties have shown mutual coordination during the Budget Session and have jointly protested over the Adani-Hindenburg issue.
All opposition parties have unitedly demanded a joint parliamentary committee to probe the Adani issue. They raised the matter in both houses with solidity.
