‘Operation Sindoor not over yet’: BSF says terrorist launchpads still active in PoK, warns ‘any action by Pakistan will…’

While speaking to reporters on Sunday, the Inspector General of the Border Security Force (BSF), Ashok Yadav, warned that the next attack would trigger a stronger response as Operation Sindoor is not yet over.

Ashok Yadav, the Inspector General of the Border Security Force (BSF), said Sunday that Pakistan-based terrorist launching pads are still active across the Line of Control even after the Indian security forces destroyed several in PoK during Operation Sindoor. He warned that the next attack would trigger a stronger response as Operation Sindoor is not yet over.

Ashok Yadav told reporters in Srinagar, “During Operation Sindoor, the Army and Border Security Force destroyed numerous launching pads and several forward locations of Pakistan. Some action has been taken to address the destroyed launching pads, which were highly vulnerable. However, many launching pads along the LoC are still intact, and some terrorists continue to be present there… We strive to thwart any infiltration attempts… Operation Sindoor is not over yet, and any action by Pakistan will be met with a befitting response…”

This comes a day after BSF said that over six dozen terror launchpads have already been shifted to the “depth areas in Pakistan” after Operation Sindoor. “After the BSF destroyed many terror launchpads along the border during Operation Sindoor, the Pakistan government shifted all such facilities to the depth areas,” BSF DIG Vikram Kunwar said on Saturday.

He further added, “About 12 launchpads are working from the depth areas of Sialkot and Zaffarwal, which are not exactly on the border. Similarly, 60 launchpads are working in the other depth areas away from the border.”

Earlier on November 29, the Border Security Force (BSF) commemorated its Diamond Jubilee and 61st Raising Day. Reaffirming its commitment, the PRO BSF highlighted several operational achievements of Frontier Headquarters Jammu along both the International Border with Pakistan and the LoC in joint coordination with the Indian Army.
