Operation Kaveri: ‘Operation Kaveri’ is being run by the Central Government to evacuate Indians trapped in Sudan. News agency ANI tweeted on Wednesday that the third batch of 135 Indians from Port Sudan reached Jeddah by IAF C-130J aircraft. Union Minister V Muraleedharan tweeted, “For all those who have reached Jeddah, onward journey to India will begin soon.”

Meanwhile, Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan received the second batch of 148 evacuated Indians. Explain that the first IAF C-130 aircraft with 121 passengers arrived at Jeddah airport on Wednesday. Earlier, naval ship INS Sumedha reached Jeddah port with 278 passengers.
