Odisha Rail Accident: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the accident site in Balasor district of Odisha. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw accompanied him. PM took stock of the situation.

As per information, PM Modi has a telephonic conversation with cabinet secretary and health minister from the accident site. He instructed them to ensure all needed help to the injured and their families.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan briefed PM about the train accident and current development.

Earlier in Delhi, The Prime Minister on Saturday chaired a high level meeting to take stock of the situation in the wake of the train mishap in Odisha.

As per information, the death toll stands at 261, around 900 people are under treatment.
