Odisha Assembly Election Results 2024: Constituency Wise Winners

The BJP clinched a majority in the Odisha Assembly, securing 78 out of 147 seats, as per the Election Commission of India's announcement. Meanwhile, in the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP seized 20 out of 21 seats in Odisha. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude on social media, pledging to propel Odisha to new heights.

The BJP achieved a majority in the Odisha Assembly by winning 78 out of the 147 seats, as announced by the Election Commission of India after the vote counting concluded on Tuesday.

The BJD, which has been in power in Odisha since 2000, secured 51 Assembly seats, while the Congress won 14 seats. In the 2019 Assembly elections, the BJD had won 113 seats, the BJP 23 seats, and the Congress 9 seats.

Additionally, in the Odisha Lok Sabha elections, the BJP secured 20 out of the 21 seats, with the BJD winning one seat.

In a post on the social media site X, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude, saying: ‘Thank you Odisha! This is a resounding victory for good governance and the celebration of Odisha’s unique culture. The BJP will leave no stone unturned in fulfilling the dreams of the people and taking Odisha to new heights of progress.’ Preliminary estimates indicate that the vote share in the Assembly poll was 40.18% for the BJD and 39.96% for the BJP.
