Now, Trump Targets Indian IT Giants: Will US Slam The Door On Outsourcing?

“President Trump is now considering blocking US IT companies from outsourcing their work to Indian companies,”

An American right-wing activist named Laura Loomer made a post recently. She claimed that US President Donald Trump wants to stop American companies from outsourcing work to big Indian IT firms. She said this is linked to the trade war between the two countries.

“President Trump is now considering blocking US IT companies from outsourcing their work to Indian companies,” alleged Loomer in her post.

The post was shared on 5 September 2025. It said that Laura Loomer claimed Americans will no longer need to “press 2” for English when asking for IT services if this move happens.

“Make Call Centres American Again!” she said. In another post on 6 September 2025, Laura Loomer shared her opinion. She said this move would stop Americans from having to talk to people who, according to her, don’t know English well.

“I am so excited for President Trump to end the days of pressing 2 for English to speak with someone who doesn’t speak English. Very nice,” said Loomer in the separate post on Saturday.

A Times of India report said that conservative commentator Jack Poso made a demand. He asked for tariffs to be imposed on foreign remote workers who provide services to the United States.

“Countries must pay for the privilege of providing services remotely to the US, the same way as goods. Apply across industries, levelled as necessary per country,” according to Poso’s comments, cited in the news portal’s report.

Trump Responds To ‘Lost India And Russia To China’ Remarks

US President Donald Trump on Friday clarified his Truth Social post where he had claimed that the US had “lost India and Russia to China,” saying he did not actually believe that to be the case. Speaking to ANI at the White House, Trump voiced disappointment over India buying Russian oil and also referred to the 50 per cent tariffs the US has imposed on Indian goods.

On being asked to whom he blames for losing India to China in his post earlier on Friday, the US President said, “I don’t think we have. I’ve been very disappointed that India would be buying so much oil from Russia. I let them know that. We put a very big tariff on India- 50 per cent, a very high tariff. I get along very well with (PM) Modi, as you know. He was here a couple of months ago, in fact, we went to the Rose Garden and had a press conference.”
