Zeeshan’s Appeal for Justice
On Thursday, Zeeshan had publicly demanded justice for his family, while urging that his father’s death should not be politicized or forgotten. Baba Siddique was shot near Zeeshan’s office in Mumbai’s Bandra area on October 12. In connection with the murder, nine individuals have been arrested, with five suspects apprehended on Friday during raids in Panvel and Karjat, Raigad district.
Shooter’s Claims About Baba Siddique’s Alleged Underworld Ties
Yogesh alias Raju (26), a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi-Hashim Baba gangs, although not linked to Baba Siddique’s killing, claimed that the NCP leader had connections with Dawood Ibrahim, India’s most-wanted criminal. He also alleged that Siddique had been charged under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) and insinuated that such associations led to his downfall. However, these claims remain unverified.
