Noida Tragedy: Two-Year-Old Boy Killed By Celebratory Gunfire During Wedding Procession

A tragic incident occurred in Noida, where a two-and-a-half-year-old boy was killed due to celebratory gunfire during a wedding procession.

In a shocking incident, a two-year-old boy allegedly died in celebratory fire during a wedding procession in Noida’s Aghapur village late Sunday night, said police. The deceased has been identified as Ansh Sharma, who resided with his parents in Aghapur village in Sector 49, Noida.

Police said on Sunday around 9 pm, when a wedding procession was passing through Aghapur village road, locals gathered on their terraces to watch the procession.

“Ansh was on his father’s lap when someone from the wedding procession crowd fired in the air,” according to HT.

The bullet passed through Ansh’s head, and he sustained a severe head injury. He was rushed to hospital where doctors declared him dead.

A case under sections 105 (punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act was registered at Sector 49 police station against the unidentified suspect, said Noida police.
