Noida schools switch to hybrid mode for classes up to 5 amid hazardous air quality- Full details Inside

Due to worsening air quality, all schools in Noida and Greater Noida will shift to a hybrid learning mode for classes up to Grade 5. Parents can choose online or offline classes, as authorities aim to protect children’s health.

All schools in Noida have been instructed to switch to a hybrid mode of learning for students up to Class 5 due to the deteriorating Air Quality Index (AQI). Earlier, the Directorate of Education had issued similar directions for schools in Delhi after AQI levels reached the ‘severe’ category. Under the hybrid system, parents can choose whether to send their children to school or allow them to attend classes online, ensuring flexibility and safety.

Currently, as pollution levels continue to rise, GRAP Stage-3 restrictions have been implemented in both Delhi and Noida. These preventive measures aim to safeguard children’s health. The Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) is a multi-stage strategy designed to curb escalating air pollution across the Delhi-NCR region.

Outdoor Activities Suspended

After the new hybrid learning order, parents can now decide whether to send their children to school or let them attend classes online. Earlier, the Noida administration had stopped all outdoor activities like morning assemblies, sports, and plays to ensure students’ safety from pollution.

Classes up to Grade 5 to switch to hybrid mode

The District Magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar has instructed all schools in Noida and Greater Noida to conduct classes up to Class 5 in hybrid mode until further notice. The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) also issued similar directions earlier this week for schools across the NCR region.

This order applies to schools under all boards, including CBSE. Both private and government schools must now provide the option of hybrid learning for students.
