Around 10 universities in Gautam Budh Nagar have made a strong decision to promote road safety by taking action against students who ride two-wheelers without helmets or drive vehicles without wearing seat belts. According to media reports, these universities have decided not to allow students on campus if they fail to wear a helmet while riding or are found not wearing a seatbelt while driving. University security officials have been instructed to ensure strict compliance with these rules.
As quoted by Hindustan Times, Gautam Budh Nagar Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Siyaram Verma mentioned that, “The objective is to ensure road safety compliance and save lives. We appreciate the universities and institutions that have stepped forward to support this cause.”
University authorities have issued an order denying passage to individuals who violate the helmet rule.
A series of official notices from transport department officials has been issued to ensure full cooperation in maintaining road safety standards.
According to media reports, Uttar Pradesh’s transport department issued a directive stating that two-wheeler drivers must wear helmets before obtaining fuel at any gas station, according to officials on Saturday.
As quoted by Hindustan Times, a spokesperson from Amity University stated, “In line with government directives, we have made it mandatory for all two-wheeler riders to wear helmets and four-wheeler drivers to use seat belts before entering the university premises.
