The Noida Police has suspended the entire police post following the death of a youth in their custody. The police detained the young man late on Wednesday night in connection with a girl’s case, and his body was found hanging in the police post the next morning.
The incident occurred at Chipiyan outpost in the Bisrakh police station area of Greater Noida. Jitendra, the brother of the deceased Yogesh, leveled serious accusations against the police, claiming that they had demanded Rs 5 lakh for his brother’s release.
Taking notice of this issue, Bisrakh police station is registering a case. Simultaneously, all policemen stationed at the police post have been immediately suspended. The Magistrate is overseeing the Panchnama of the deceased’s body, and a panel of doctors has been tasked with arranging for videography.
A Noida Police officer stated that Yogesh, the deceased, worked at a bakery in Chipiana. Initial investigations reveal that the allegations were made by one of his colleagues, leading to his summons to the police post for questioning. He took his own life around 10 am today, prompting further action to be taken in this matter.
