For making better connectivity, India is planning the making of new Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS). This will link two cities, Gurugram and Greater Noida. This corridor is 60 km long. This will provide a major boost to the connectivity. This will benefit the commuters of Gurugram and Greater Noida.
Route Of This Corridor
It will start from Rajiv Chowk in Gurugram and end at Surajpur in Greater Noida. In between it will pass through Bata Chowk in Faridabad and Noida sector 142.
The cost of the project is Rs 15,000 crore. The corridor will have eight intermediate stations.
The project have aim to cut the travel time. It will reduce the traffic jam and congestion on the road. It will benefit the country in providing its support in the economy. The Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) will make the travel easier for the commuters and provide comfort to them.
Benefits Of This Project
The project is developed by the National Capital Region Transport System. The route is made to provide easy, comfortable and environmental friendly travel to the commuters. The route is connected the two major cities, Gurugram and Noida. The new route will erase traffic from the road.
The current time taken by commuters by road is around 1.5 to 3 hours depending upon the traffic condition. It will have a positive effect on streets. This project will increase job opportunities. Real estate values in the particular region of the route will rise.
This will boost the sustainable development in the area as it will reduce the dependency on private vehicle.
