Noida is set to receive continuous rain for the next seven days, making the weather pleasant for a week and providing relief from the heat. The IMD reports that persistent rain in the mountains has caused cloud formation in the NCR, leading to this rainfall. If the rain continues, the Hindon and Yamuna rivers may overflow, affecting residents in flood-prone areas.
The Meteorological Department predicts intermittent rain in Noida two to three times a day until July 11. On July 12 and 13, there will be rain with strong winds. The maximum temperature will reach 34 degrees, while the minimum will be between 25 and 26 degrees Celsius. It has been cloudy since Monday morning, with rain expected in the afternoon, and temperatures reaching a high of 33 degrees and a low of 25 degrees. This weather has brought relief from the heat and humidity. Winds are blowing at 3 km per hour, and the humidity is 88 percent, increasing the likelihood of afternoon rain.
The cleaning of drains and sewers in the city is almost complete, with Rs 11 crore spent on the project. With only two days left until the deadline, top officials will inspect the work. Efforts are also underway to prevent backflow during the rain.
Noida, located along the Hindon and Yamuna rivers, feels the impact of mountain rains. Last year, both rivers flooded, affecting thousands. This year, continuous rain may cause flooding again, but the administration claims they are already on alert.
