The long-awaited Noida International Airport is all set for inauguration, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi expected to give the good news to the public soon. According to reliable sources, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) was given three tentative dates for the inauguration: 7th, 8th and 9th December. If no special circumstances arise, 9th December is being considered as the final date for the grand event.
Preparations for the inauguration
Preparations at the airport have already begun. To ensure a grand ceremony, materials for constructing the main stage and a German hangar started arriving at the airport on Sunday. The agency responsible for organising the event has been instructed to complete all arrangements, including the stage, hangar, lighting and sound, by 7th December.

Kharmas and timing considerations
The airport construction is complete and officials including Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently visited the site and the venue for the public gathering. Though preparations were initially planned for December, the onset of Kharmas from 14th December, a period when weddings, housewarmings and other auspicious events are avoided, necessitated an earlier inauguration.

Prime Minister Modi traditionally does not launch projects during Kharmas. Therefore, the inauguration was scheduled before this period to avoid delay, which could have otherwise pushed the ceremony to Makar Sankranti on 14th January.
Grand public gathering expected
The BJP aims to present the Noida Airport inauguration as a model of development, drawing visitors not only from Western Uttar Pradesh but also from neighboring states Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan. Authorities expect a crowd of 1.5 to 2 lakh people and all arrangements are being made accordingly.

According to astrology experts, 9th December from 7:15 AM onward marks a day with Sarvarth Siddhi Yoga, considered highly auspicious for inaugurations. This has strengthened the likelihood of the Prime Minister officially inaugurating the airport on this date.
