A 21-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide by jumping from the 21st floor of a high-rise building in Noida, Sector 100, on Saturday, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Unnati, a resident of Lotus Boulevard in Noida, Sector 100, police said, adding she was residing at tower number 12 on the 21st floor with her family.
Police said on Saturday, when the family was busy with household chores, the woman reached the balcony of her home and jumped to death. As society members and security guards spotted the incident, police were informed on emergency helpline number 112, and the crime scene was secured.
The woman’s body was shifted for postmortem, and her father was informed about the incident. Further investigation is underway.
