New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah Saturday asserted that the Narendra Modi-led central government will not tolerate left-wing extremism and terrorism. He claimed that the Centre has strengthened probe agencies.

He said, “We’ve zero-tolerance toward left-wing extremism and terrorism. We’ve empowered NIA. Technical, cyber and forensic experts and continuous learning power have been inbuilt in NIA. We expanded NIA’s scope to other countries too.”

Union minister Shah further promised to open branches in all states of India by 2024. He said as the government is intolerant against terrorism and other related crimes, he said that no stone has been unturned to strengthen the NIA.

The Home Minister was speaking at the inauguration of the office building of Raipur branch of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Atal Nagar area of Nava Raipur.

Bharatiya Janata Party’s Senior leader Amit Shah said the Centre shared the inputs on terrorism even with those state governments where the BJP is not in power. He said the conviction in such crimes also increased.
