Talks between AAP and Congress on the formation of an alliance failed to reach a seat-sharing understanding. It is learnt that discussions were not successful since AAP leaders demanded 10 seats whereas Congress offered five. Over this, there was no agreement between the parties.
AAP’s Haryana chief Sushil Gupta earlier said that if the Congress did not come to a decision over the alliance, then his party would declare candidates for all 90 seats. Gupta sounded confident of his party’s preparation to go alone on all the seats.
