In a decisive action against terror financing, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has initiated a series of raids across multiple locations in Jammu and Kashmir. This operation is part of a broader investigation targeting the financial networks that support terrorism, focusing on key districts including Baramulla, Reasi, Budgam, and Anantnag.
The NIA’s coordinated efforts are not limited to Jammu and Kashmir alone; they extend to 19 locations across four states, including Assam, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat. This multi-state operation aims to dismantle the financial channels linked to the radicalization of individuals associated with the terrorist groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed and the dissemination of extremist propaganda.
NIA Confirms Ongoing Operations
An official spokesperson for the NIA confirmed the ongoing operations, stating, “Raids are underway and further details will be shared accordingly.” This initiative highlights the agency’s unwavering commitment to tackling the pressing issue of terror financing, which poses a significant threat to national security.
The NIA, in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Police and other law enforcement agencies, has intensified its operations to eradicate the roots of terrorism in the region and beyond.
