Srinagar: In a major action against terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) attached the properties of Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin and his son in Budgam.
The probe agency has put up a board of attachment on which it is written that the immovable property (1567 and 1568) located at Narsingh Garh, Mohalla Ram Bagh, Srinagar, in Jammu and Kashmir is in the name of Syed Ahmed Shakeel, son of Syed Yusuf Shah alias Syed Salahuddin, has been attached under sub-section 33(1) of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967 on the orders of the special NIA court. Syed Salahuddin is a ‘listed terrorist’ under the UAPA Act, of 1967.

who is Salahuddin?
Syed Mohammad Yusuf Shah is the real name of Syed Salahuddin. He is the chief of the terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen. Hizbul is accused of carrying out terrorist incidents in other parts of the country including Kashmir. In 2017, Salahuddin was declared a Specially Designated Global Terrorist by the US State Department.
