On Monday January 20, Kanhaiya Kumar, Congress leader and AICC in-charge of the Indian National Students’ Organization (INSO), participated in News24’s ‘Manthan’ program held at the ISOMES Auditorium in Noida today.
Kanhaiya Kumar, who has been made the star campaigner for the Congress in the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections, shared his thoughts during an exclusive interview with News24 correspondent Manak Gupta.
He expressed concerns about the weakening of India’s democratic institutions, stating that while the BJP has won elections based on numbers, the fight to preserve democracy is far from over. “Modi ji has one hand with Nitish Kumar and the other with Chandrababu Naidu. We don’t know when they will pull away,” he added.
Kumar also commented on political campaigns, saying that campaigning is an inherent part of politics, and he will campaign wholeheartedly for Congress. He pointed out that the manifestos of all parties in the upcoming Delhi elections are quite similar. He also shared his views on several other issues during the conversation.
