Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has been in the headlines since the day she took oath as CM. She made several decisions since assuming office. The Ayushman Bharat Yojana has already been launched in the national capital — one of the promises made by the BJP in its election manifesto. In an exclusive interview with News 24, Rekha Gupta spoke on various issues. When asked about how she came to know that she had been chosen as Delhi's CM, Rekha Gupta responded by saying, "I came to know about this through you all. I saw my name on TV. I was worried about what would happen if I became the CM? If I do Become CM, what will I do? I had it in my mind that I had become an MLA and now I will work.”
What She Said About Rs 2,500 For Women In Delhi?
She spoke about the BJP’s election promise of giving Rs 2,500 to women living in Delhi. She said, “We are currently working on it. A provision has been made for this in the budget. Work is underway for its online registration.”

What She Said About Schemes Run By Kejriwal Government?
She also spoke on which all schemes run by the previous Kejriwal government will continue in Delhi. She said, "The free water and electricity scheme will continue in Delhi. Alongside this, we are planning a new initiative focused on mohalla clinics to ensure people receive comprehensive medical care. We are exploring ways to enhance these clinics so that complete treatment can be provided. Additionally, we will be launching the Jan Arogya Mandir, where people will have access to both medical treatment and essential medicines."
From Student Politics To Chief Minister: Rekha Gupta’s Journey
Delhi CM Rekha Gupta also mentioned, "While it's true that this is my first term as an MLA and I’ve directly become the Chief Minister, the journey to this point has taken 30 years. I began with the ABVP, then served as a councillor, and now, after being elected as an MLA, I’ve been chosen as the CM. It’s been a long road, and I’ve carried out every responsibility given to me by the party with complete dedication."
