A newly married techie allegedly hanged himself at his residence in the Bhondsi area of Gurugram, police said on October 8.
According to a report published by PTI, the deceased has been identified as Shubham Meena. He was married six months ago to a Delhi-based woman. The couple was residing near Mata Colony in Nayagaon. It was a love marriage.
Police said that no suicide note was found. Shubham, a native of Rajasthan’s Alwar district, was employed with an MNC and was earning around Rs 20 lakh per annum.
Police further added that Shubham had left his room, and when he did not return for some time, his wife went upstairs to look for him. She found him hanging from a window.
Kanpur: 6 people injured due to blast in two scooters
In a separate incident, six people were injured on Wednesday evening when two parked scooters exploded under suspicious circumstances in the Mishri Bazar area of Kanpur, officials said.
The explosion occurred in Mishri Bazaar, which falls under the jurisdiction of Moolganj police station, in the late evening. Six pedestrians standing nearby sustained injuries and were admitted to the Ursula Hospital in Kanpur. Police forces, forensic teams, and senior officials rushed to the scene.
Joint Police Commissioner (Law and Order) Ashutosh Kumar said, “In the Mishri Bazaar area under the Mulganj police station, two scooters were parked today in which a blast occurred. This incident took place around 7:15 PM… A total of 6 people are injured, including one woman. All are undergoing treatment and are out of danger…”
He further added, “Our forensic team is present at the scene, and we are investigating what could be the cause of this… We have traced the scooter, and inquiries will also be made with those who were riding it. Whether this is an accident or a conspiracy will only be known later.”
Further investigation is underway.
