Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday commended Nepali youngsters for their efforts in rebuilding the country following the violent protests of the past five days. He stated that Nepali youths are working hard to clean and paint the roads in Nepal that were damaged during the protests. PM Modi highlighted that he has personally seen pictures on social media of the youngster’s efforts to restore civic facilities in their country.

While addressing a rally in Manipur’s Imphal, PM Modi expressed hope that Nepal will restore peace and stability in the near future. Through his speech, the Prime Minister sent a strong message of goodwill from India to Nepal, wishing them prosperity and a bright future. PM Modi emphasised that the efforts of Nepali men and women in beautifying their country is inspiring and an indication of Nepal’s new rise.
“For the last few days, young men and women of Nepal can be seen working hard to clean and paint the roads of Nepal. I have seen their pictures on social media as well. Their positive thinking and positive actions are not only inspiring but are also a clear indication of the new rise of Nepal. I wish Nepal all the best for its bright future,” PM Modi stated.

Nepal is a close friend of India, says PM Modi
PM Modi stated that from the land of Manipur, he wants to send a message of India’s support to his colleagues in Nepal. He reiterated that Nepal and India are connected by a shared history and faith, and are close friends. PM Modi further praised every person in Nepal who upheld democratic values even in such an unstable environment.
“Today, from this land of Manipur, I will also talk to my colleagues in Nepal. Nepal is a friend of India, a close friend. We are connected by shared history, by faith, and are moving forward together. Today, on behalf of the countrymen, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Smt. Sushila ji on assuming charge as the Prime Minister of the interim government in Nepal. I am confident that she will pave the way for peace, stability and prosperity in Nepal. Sushila ji’s taking oath as the first woman Prime Minister of Nepal is a very good example of women’s empowerment. Today, I will praise every person in Nepal who has kept the democratic values supreme even in such an unstable environment,” he added.
