As per reports, the new rules will come into effect from February 17, 2025.
About The New Rules Of FASTag
The rules was issued by the National Payments Corporation of India on January 28, 2025. According to the rules, if you went to the toll booth and the FASTagis blacklisted for over 60 minutes before reading the tag. In this case the payment will not be getting successful. On other end if the tag is blacklisted 10 minutes before reading, in this case too the payment will not get successful.
But under this new rules, the driver will be getting a window of 70 minutes to update the status of FASTag.
The last minute process of recharging the FASTag if the tag is blacklisted will not make the payment getting successful.
