BJP, JD(U) and Lok Janshakti Party
Bihar Election 2025: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be fielding their candidates on 101 seats. Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) LJP(RV), headed by Union Minister Chirag Paswan, has been allotted 29 seats. This happened after Chirag’s persistent negotiations with the BJP, which is an increase from the initial 20-25 seats offered. The party’s 2024 Lok Sabha performance also helped Chirag to gain more seats for the Bihar assembly election 2025. LJP(RV) had demanded up to 45-50 seats, while JD(U) resisted conceding beyond 20 to protect its influence in key regions.
