Nawab Yadav, a Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and former representative of Dimple Yadav, the wife of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, was arrested by Uttar Pradesh police in Kannauj on charges of raping a minor girl. Yadav, known to be a close aide of Akhilesh Yadav, recently shared a video on social media wishing the SP leader on his birthday, showcasing several old photos of them together.

According to media reports, the incident occurred when Nawab Yadav allegedly lured the minor victim and her aunt under the pretext of offering a job. Upon their arrival, Yadav reportedly sexually assaulted the girl. However, the SP leader has denied the accusations, claiming that the charges are part of a political conspiracy aimed at destroying his career.

Ayodhya Rape Case Involving Another SP Leader
In a separate incident, Moid Khan, another SP leader and close aide of Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad, was arrested for allegedly raping a 12-year-old daily wage worker over a period of two months in Ayodhya. The case has gained significant political attention, particularly after a BJP delegation met with the victim’s family, urging the state government to increase the compensation for the survivor’s family from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 25 lakh.
BJP leaders, including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, have publicly condemned the crime, highlighting Moid Khan’s association with the Samajwadi Party and his connection to Faizabad MP Awadhesh Prasad.
