Madhya Pradesh is going to get the largest expressway in the state. This nearly 1200 km long road will pass through 11 districts of the state and cost around Rupees 31 thousand crore. It has been named Narmada Expressway. This expressway is four times bigger than Yamuna Expressway. About 30 national highways, state highways and roads of districts will be connected to Narmada Expressway, which will clearly benefit the development of these districts.
Connectivity Of Expressway
Narmada Expressway is being constructed from Amarkantak which is in Anuppur district to Alirajpur district. The expressway will pass through Anuppur, Dindori, Mandla, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Hoshangabad, Harda, Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani and Alirajpur.
The highways in the state which is connecting to this expressway are currently two-lane, but will widened later on in future. Then this two lane will get transformed into four lane.
The buildup will benefit the people living in the cities living around that route. The work is expected to get completed by 2026.
The Narmada Expressway will be connecting two stated which are, Gujarat and Chhattisgarh. It will join Alirajpur to Ahmedabad and the Anuppur district to Chhattisgarh.
Narmada Expressway To Boost Tourism
It will boost the tourism sector in the state. Not only in Madhya Pradesh but this will benefit Gujarat and Chhattisgarh. This will give easier connectivity to all three states. Tourist coming to destination like Omkareshwar, Amarkantak and Bhedaghat-Lametaghat will have comfortable travel.
This will increase job opportunities and will bring investment opportunities in all three states. Apart from this this expressway brings a way to development for all three states.
