UPPCS Prelims 2025: Namo Bharat Train Services To Begin Early On October 12 — Details Inside

Namo Bharat train services between Delhi and Meerut will begin two hours earlier, at 6:00 AM instead of the usual 8:00 AM, on October 12 to accommodate candidates appearing for the UPPCS Preliminary Examination.

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) announced a 6:00 AM start of service for the Namo Bharat train on October 12, in support of candidates taking the UPPCS Preliminary Examination. The Namo Bharat trains will run until 10:00 PM on that day as an additional travel opportunity for candidates and other passengers. This measure was taken to relieve traffic on the Delhi Metro and to provide additional travel options for faster, convenient travel for customers.

NCRTC Starts Early Services For UPPCS Exam

– NCRTC has announced that Namo Bharat train services will start two hours early on the day of the UPPCS examination.

– Namo Bharat train services will start at 6:00 AM on October 12 instead of the usual time of 8:00 AM.

– The services will also run until 10:00 AM, for extended hours of travel.

– The early services are meant to reduce pressure on the Delhi Metro and roads, contributing to more convenient travel for UPPCS exam candidates.

– Namo Bharat Train operates daily between Meerut South and New Ashok Nagar Station in Delhi.

– It has modern facilities and runs at the speed of 160 kilometres per hour, reducing the travel time of Delhi and Meerut to 55 minutes.

When Will The Sarai Kale Khan Terminal Open?

In a huge update, the NCRTC plans to open the Sarai Kale Khan terminal of the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor before Diwali. It was originally scheduled to open on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, September 17.

Once it opens, the full stretch from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Modipuram in Meerut will be operational, allowing passengers to be able to travel long distances easily.
