Maharashtra is set to receive a new expressway. This new route will be connecting Nagpur with Goa. This expressway has been named Nagpur-Goa Shaktipeeth Expressway.
About The Project
The length of this route is 802-Km. This expressway will have 6-kane route. This will boost the Maharashtra’s tourism and transportation to new heights. This route is being developed by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation. It will save time of commuters. currently the time taken to cover the entire route is around 18 to 20 hours, but once this route gets opened to the public it will take around 8 to 10 hours to cover the entire distance. This will boost connectivity in the region it is passing though. The cost of this project is around Rs 86,000 crore.

About The Routes
The expressway will begin from Pavnar in the Wardha district and ends at Patradevi located near Maharashtra-Goa border. It will cross 12 districts. This will boost connectivity and tourism in the state.
The expressway connects several pilgrimage sites like Patradevi, Tuljapur near Slapur and Mahalaxmi in Kolhapur.
